In high school, Quentin’s mind was invaded by “dream demon” Freddy Kreuger. Over the course of years of fighting to get Kreuger out and survive to wake again, Quentin developed an ability common to Freddy’s victims: dreamwalking.
Dreamwalking starts with total agency in his dreams and expands with practice into total agency in other people’s dreams. Eventually, again with practice and familiarity with a given person’s dreamscape, this ability can grow into being able to act on another person in their sleep and having it affect their body in the real world.
Especially when he’s in proximity to people, there’s a chance that Quentin has wandered into the dreams of people around him. I default to assuming he has NOT been in any given person’s dreams, but I’d also love to open up the opportunity if folks want some psychic mess out there. Frequency and Timing: Dreams pretty much every night, can get to bed as early as 11pm and as late as 2am depending on whatever odd job he's doing after his shift at the clinic.
Common Themes: Nightmares related to his bullying back home (being kicked, punched, force fed cockroaches, burnt with cigarettes, usually on the grounds of a school, mocking laughter, no help), his mother (missing her, trying to find her, unable to reach her), distorted scenes from all kinds of movies but mostly horror, theaters, Tokyo streets and subways, House, Quentin, Ankari, Mahito, blood, wounds, death, cannibalism (reliving the dinner, or that he's somehow eaten someone again), rotting flesh, jellyfish, tentacles, hunger, sex with those he knows but also sometimes strangers (sometimes pleasant, sometimes not).
Overall Vibes: Fear, anxiety, hopelessness, loneliness, pining, vulnerability.

Frequency and Timing: Often, though at varying times. She doesn't sleep well.
Common Themes: Extensive scenes of the wilderness, abandoned or burned places, fire, men and women dressed in black and wearing masks. Zombies. A child crying. Half burned out buildings being raided. Soldiers who shift moment to moment from wearing regular US Army uniforms to being dressed completely in black and wearing masks. Zombies stuck to the ground and unable to move, but still groaning and reaching for people. The phrase fortitudo salutis. Corpses strung up from their ankles with ropes and hung as warnings. A belgian malinois running through the forest.
Overall Vibes: Violent, chaotic. Things are not well.

Frequency and Timing: extremely sporadic. danny's prone to intentional/forced insomnia, but it's been harder in rubi without easy access to his normal methods of coping (cool motive, still murder). he will find little places to doze at random hours of the day or night (catch him catnapping in some alleyway in town with a hat or a jacket pulled over his face or out in the woods), but he's an extremely light sleeper, so he doesn't often hit rem sleep where dreams would more regularly occur.
Common Themes: pre-reveal: blacks, reds, disjointed images like they've been scraped off the inside of a kaleidoscope. reoccurring locations: a desert at night lit by a lone "vegas" sign; the scorched skeleton of what used to be a house, floating in the black sea of his consciousness; a shitbox mobile home; a gas station bathroom. he dreams about murdering his father a lot, but the location and method of execution always changes, sometimes several times in one moment, like his brain is "rewinding"/"rebooting" and trying to fix what it thinks is wrong. otherwise, any people generally featured in his dreams are mannequin-still, their faces a black void; sometimes they're wounded and bleeding, other times they're just There, like little jump scares when you turn around. post-reveal: lots of the withering isle, the motel, the woods, the fog, the voices from the fog, SPRINGWOOD HEHEHE. his dreams of the entity aren't clear pictures but staccato nuke bomb flashblind clips of UHHHHHHHH THE HORRORS, think of the hell dimension scene in event horizon.
Overall Vibes: dread, loneliness, rage. any dreams involving his father or the mobile home loc: hatred, grief, regret, arousal. there is an overwhelming sense of wrongness in 99% of his dreams.

Frequency and Timing: Regularly, at night, occasionally mid-afternoon.
Common Themes: Hooboy, Lu is very much Not Human, so get used to some deeply weird synesthesia - while they don't see in the full range of shrimp colours, their vision is comparable to a bird with an expanded look into the UV spectrum. Their people also communicate in part through visual displace and scent cues, so get ready to have smells play a role?
Lots of images and experiences of her home city, a giant canyon with the rich up high and everyone else getting by - Lu is from a magical diesel punk world. Think 1930s tech. Given the nature of their work, occasional bouts of the ol' street violence with a magical flair. I am always happy to tl;dr and give visual refs, so just lemme know.
Overall Vibes: Surreal. Often with a (sort of) chorus of half remembered commentary from others in their species - may Q can understand it? Maybe not.

Frequency and Timing: dreams are entirely dependent on what's happening in her life!! sometimes multiple nights in a row and other times not for a week or so.
Common Themes: lottie's dreams vary in that she'll repeat the same one for a few nights and she'll probably be plagued by another. typical to how she functions in real life, they are very capricious. it's never the same palette, but often times it'll involve colors reflected by her mood (pink for infatuation, Red Means Bad, etc), others it'll be based in realism a la work related stress? it's literally said work place. she doesn't always have nightmares either (sorry quentin lottie dreams about her crushes a lot SIGHS DEEPLY.. think date adjacent dreams), but when she does it'll typically involve being watched, a spectacle. crowds of faceless people with their phones out documenting her without her permission.
regular people would include: caroline (typically associated with: physical intimacy, extreme pining, a sense of loss, obsession, reminiscing), sunny (her ex, he's more there as a sometimes addition for flavor or when she's feeling particularly nostalgic), probably all of her cr at some point (some as main characters others as background characters).
Overall Vibes: hope, vulnerability, BIG loneliness vibes, being watched, Lottie Being a Romantic, sometimes stressful and high strung, panicked.

Frequency and Timing: She has runes in her room to try and stop herself from dreaming (and to prevent her nightmares from leeching out into the town). Her dreams are spotty; she tries not to dream these days. If she's not sleeping in her room, then she (and the rest of the town) are unprotected (and he can get into her dreams!).
Common Themes:
Overall Vibes: Her dreams feel vivid and trapping, like being pushed beneath a giant wave and unable to surface. Essentially, he'd be fighting against her subconscious use of her mind control. There's always a red crackle of energy around them.

Frequency and Timing: Gilia is early to bed and early to rise and works pretty much by the dawn/dusk cycle like the stuffy little predictable sensible worker she is. Occasionally, however, she both sleep talks and sometimes sleepwalks, at those times she speaks in cryptic prophecy in her spooky ocean voice.
Common Themes: Unfurls scroll, I am so sorry. This one is complicated because Gilia receives prophetic dreams of the future sent by her Sea-Spirit patron who doesn't understand a) linear time or b) how humans communicate ideas. So Gilia both dreams of her ordinary life activities, her memories, and bat-shit insane world events. These can include:
Overall Vibes: Disjointed fear of existential crushing dread and elevation of pure religious highs and it is a roller coaster every single second from beginning to end.
Has your chara noticed Quentin? So here is the fun bit. Gilia will not necessarily notice him, as she's trying to keep her sanity together and is often just reduced to rocking and praying for peace in the corner of her own mind in order to cope with... everything.
The Sea-Father, however, will. He won't be aggressive, and it won't even be the first or second time, but more like a megafauna waking up, it slowly brings its attention to Quentin more each time. It doesn't say or do anything overt but it does just stare back, waiting to see what he does in the dreams. Any attempt to communicate is somewhat possible but it's not going to make sense back, asking questions will shift the dream to another dreamscape, with things that make equally as confusing sense: fish falling from the sky, whales dying, starfish slowly migrating across the sea bed. It also fills the space with an unrelenting pressure of the entire ocean pressing down as if to test what Quentin is.

Frequency and Timing: Ianthe honestly doesn't sleep as much as a person should, 4-5 hours a night, so her dreams are intermittent and typically around 2-4am.
Common Themes:
The vast majority of Ianthe's dreams are literally of a proscenium stage where Ianthe (always in a slutty outfit) is part of a stage production with a chorus of other actors (all wearing gaudy masks) that varies in topic. Sometimes its a funeral where the masked people come pay their respects to Ianthe laying in an open coffin. Sometimes its reproductions of events that may have been memories once upon a time, reenacting things that happened. All of them are silent and feel incredibly fake.
Every once in a while there is a wet dream - sometimes it might be about someone Quentin knows (Alina, Yennefer, Gideon, Leah, Nacho) that are very kink heavy, sometimes it's about a very beautiful blonde woman with the perfect body and violet eyes that looks an awful lot like she could be Ianthe's sister. The rarest but the only one that could be called vivid is just a swirling storm of overwhelming emotions - pain, lust, love, bones, blood, and intimacy in a way that feels greater than sex.
Overall Vibes: The pervasive sense that Quentin is in a Greek Tragedy is hard to ignore. Except for the rushes of emotion, there is a performative vibe, like Ianthe is rewriting something with her dreams.

Frequency and Timing: not a napper, so likely won't be asleep during the day, unless he's affected by something. fairly intermittent dreamer between 2-5am, may dream a bit more frequently in his first couple months.
Common Themes: he views the world through the lens of a predator, so a recurring color would likely be red. sometimes everything might be shades of red, sometimes varying degrees of red on darker shades of various colors. recurring themes and places are faceless people (from home and rubi), walking/running down dark winding tunnels and hallways with locked doors and dead ends, distant sounds of a chainsaw, screams, buzzing of generators and electric fences, missing persons posters, cold rooms and chest freezers stocked with dead bodies, endless open fields on high-noon, endless mazes made out of sunflowers, and slaughter properties littered in trash, bones and animal remains. imagery might appear whole but suddenly drop off into nothing, others might appear jagged, broken, blurred, and scratched out.
one particular dream that might stand out, and is quite frequent, is a faceless woman who stands 5 stories tall. sometimes she's just there in the background, sometimes she's chasing johnny. it's rare for him to remember this dream when he wakes up.

Frequency and Timing: Scattershot, not as much as he should. Varies anywhere from six hours a night to five hours a night, sometimes more, sometimes less but generally in that vicinity. Dreams regularly, anytime he's asleep, and likely they'd manifest in the extreme late night.
Common Themes: Wow what a wide range to choose from. Nikolai's dreams swing wildly between actual fantastic, generally enjoyable dreams, and fractured, hair-raising nightmares. CYOA!!!
Behind door number one: WAR MEMORIES. Battlefields, gunfire, ringing ears, blood, shouting, the whole bit. Lots of soldiers who feel familiar but often die or vanish into shadows and smoke. Ravkan uniforms feature in this, Domik always crossing through this memory in some way shape or form. Sometimes Nikolai dies in these dreams and wakes up abruptly.
Behind door number two: BOAT MEMORIES. Deck of a ship, wind in your face, sea-air. Sometimes the boat is on the water, sometimes it is flying above. Tamar and Tolya feature prominently in these dreams, even if the logic of the dream can be jumbled. (Think opening a boat door and being in a building on dry land.) Alina will crop up here. Sporadic Malyen Oretsev sightings. Lots of clear positive feeling here.
Behind door number three: WAR MEMORIES PT 2. The hardest to parse. Always blood, ice shards tearing through him, explosions and fire and screaming. Dominik always dies in these dreams. There are monsters in these dreams, but they are always shifting; the longer Nikolai dreams the more intense and monstrous they become. Sometimes they devour him sometimes they claw him to pieces, most times they rip his chest open.
Overall Vibes: Extremely, extremely vivid. Everything heightened, from emotions to visuals to sensory details. Restlessness, impatience, cravings (more affection, more attention, etc.) Warmth and ease can give way to loneliness and exhaustion. Lots of big feelings, big sensations. Everything dialed up to 11 in his brain at all times.
Has your chara noticed Quentin? Unlikely, unless Quentin actively calls attention to himself in a way that breaks the rules of the dream. Nikolai has zero experience with someone straying into his dreams in this way, and wouldn't necessarily recognize what Quentin was doing, even if he noticed Quentin being present within the dreamspace.

Frequency and Timing: often. aegon usually sleeps very late at night/early morning and into the afternoon, but there's times every now and then where he's sleeping at normal sleep hours. and sometimes all day long when he's having a particularly rough time.
Common Themes: death of his entire family (this includes alicent and aemond, but also his equally whiteblonde haired+violet eyed sister/wife helaena and his three young children), sometimes these deaths are incredibly violent, sometimes they're VERY fiery, and sometimes (more often than anything) his half-sister rhaenyra is the one doing the murdering (occasionally daemon will also be there) either by dragon or doing something absolutely horrific to them-- these are probably his most prevalent. every now and then, it'll just be aegon with rhaenyra killing the fuck out of him.
on occasion he may dream of the open sea, of soaring the skies on a golden dragon, of the free cities (usually accompanied with running/escaping and/or the feeling of freedom), of the crowd cheering as the crown is placed upon his head during his coronation.
and very, very rarely it'll be alicent and his father, (cw: this picture is Gross/body-horrory)viserys (typically near his death dealing with leprosy), often being very far away, or he's alone in the darkness unable to reach them, or they look at him and leave.. those kinds of themes. sometimes he's entirely alone, other times he's there with aemond+helaena.

Common Themes: War, fire, dying men, trapped in a bleak forest as a filthy wild man, a specific car wreck he causes to kill Laura Moon, centuries of mistreatment by Grimnir/Mr. Wednesday, his medieval wife running away with their daughter because he threatened them while crazy in the woods, cowardice, abandonment, being forgotten, religion/Belief made manifest, Christianity as the enemy, being told he's worthless/obsolete/replaceable/unnoteworthy/disposable/small
Positive memories focus on helping people, whether as the god king that brought the skills of civilization to ancient Ireland, or his time there as a Leprechaun, actually being believed in and called upon to do Favors in exchange for Offerings.

Frequency and Timing: Joan dreams deeply and vividly almost every night, though she doesn't always remember it during waking. She currently stays up late and wakes up early, but is learning that without energy drinks she actually needs to go to bed at a normal ass time, so eventually she'll be getting a normal 7-8hrs
Common Themes: Frequent features: She's very short and figures loom over her. The ocean is a wall on the horizon. The sky above is red, the light like a heat lamp. No one has faces, or everyone has the same face. Her teeth fall out like fishbones. She has a pet she keeps in a drawer and keeps forgetting about it and it dies. Her car has been stolen. If she doesn't say the right thing, a violent man will be released from jail. She is covered in lizards.
Overall Vibes: Helplessness, confusion, worry. She is always rushing somewhere, or trying to complete the correct action to avoid disastrous consequences, or trying to save something that is already dead.
Has your chara noticed Quentin? Yes, but she assumes this is her subconscious and feels weird about it.

Frequency and Timing: Fairly often. He sleeps at odd hours, ranging from extremely late at night, middle of the day, etc. depending on how restless he gets.
Common Themes: So, Gabe's dreams are split. Sometimes he's sighted when he dreams and sometimes he's not. The dreams where he's sighted are more straightforward and easier to interpret: a room in a warship filled with long, cold hallways, the sound of recycled air chugging through the space, the smell of bleach and gunpowder and Gabe inside it wearing black armor, surrounded by every gun he's ever fired and methodically cleaning his favorite rifle; a mountainous forest in the dead of night with mechanical laughter in the shadows, and flare guns shooting off as Gabe and several other shadowy figures run from their pursuers; the view through a descending ship of a dark ocean and shining, almost blindingly bright cliffs made of glass; several variations of him setting up and taking shots with his rifle, though whatever or whoever he's targeting won't be clear.
The other dreams will be harder to interpret by someone who's sighted and they'll come in fragments of black and red with hints of shadow, but from Gabe's perspective entirely and interpreted through his tech. He doesn't "see" in the traditional sense but gets data beamed directly into his brain so he can navigate. It's overwhelming at first and extremely hard to parse through. Here, the other four senses will be emphasized. He often dreams of being forced to kneel on a cold, metal floor with his hands tied in a line with several other people. They're killed one by one until he's the last, but then a voice says "Wait" and the dream ends. There's another, very common dream, where he's stalking a number of different people through the woods. They're panicked and disoriented, but he's utterly calm, and he makes them run for hours (or maybe days, dream time is funny) before he wounds them with his rifle and ultimately gets in close enough to put his hand on their throat as they die. They all seem to recognize him before the end, sometimes calling him "Rodriguez." The other, final dream is a much happier, calmer Gabe walking through a market with a two year old girl on his shoulders, buying marigolds. He shows her how to touch the petals gently, without crushing them, and calls her "Izzy."
Overall Vibes: Anger, tension, fear, loss, and a deep, abiding love for his daughter. A 90-10 split between Something Is Very Wrong here and a more genuine moment of care and connection for his family.
Has your chara noticed Quentin? His dreams repeat so often and he's so detail oriented that I'mg going to say yes, just for the hell of it.

Frequency and Timing: Nightly. Early hours of the morning (like 3am to dawn)
Common Themes: Aemond mostly dreams about the war with his family focusing on his desperation and inability to save them.
Lots of dragon flying. Dragon battles in heavy rain, sweltering battlefields, free falling out of the sky off said dragon, laying siege on a castle with his dragon and endlessly trying to navigate the halls of a lightless keep unable to track down his enemy (his uncle Daemon). If he does kill anyone, it's brutal and intimate. Sometimes he feeds his enemies to his dragon. Sometimes he is the thing being fed to a dragon.
He also dreams about returning home to find members of his family dying and being blamed for their deaths. Often Aegon's children, his sister Helaena, Aegon himself, and his mother Alicent. Sometimes Alicent is the only one left alive. She continues to blame him and it all goes back to "what he did to Lucerys"
Sometimes it's Aegon with burns over half of his body begging to be put out of his misery. Or his sister Helaena trying to warn him about something with very creepy cryptic messages. Alicent manically trying to mommy manipulate him to do something heinous.
Rarely, scenarios where he is king ostracized from his court with whispering behind his back (getting called 'Kinslayer'), his family turned and conspiring against him, a crowd laughing and mocking him, stripping him his crown and bodily autonomy.
Recently, getting ones where he is either in human or his dragon-y monster form being held prisoner in a cavern of a volcano. Chained to the stone walls/floor as the cave around him rattles as though an eruption is coming.
Overall Vibes: Stress, tension, desperation, guilt, grief, helplessness, rage, mania. Sometimes there are strong senses of yearning/emptiness like a big piece is missing. Others feels like there is a deep and overbearing weight slowing him down/holding him down.
